Before you can hold or receive SOIL on the XRPL, your wallet needs a trust line to the official SOIL issuer: address rfmS3zqrQrka8wVyhXifEeyTwe8AMz2Yhw, currency code SOIL (hex 534F494C00000000000000000000000000000000). Always re-check these against soil.co or this Support page before adding them — never trust an address from a DM, social post, or search ad. In Xaman: open the app, go to the token/asset search, add SOIL by pasting the issuer address and currency code above, then confirm and sign the trust line transaction. In Crossmark: open the extension, go to Assets, choose "Add Asset" / "Trust Line", paste the same issuer address and currency code, set a trust limit if prompted, and approve the transaction. This adds a small XRP reserve requirement to your account (standard XRPL behavior for any trust line) and does not cost anything beyond the network fee.
The official SOIL token on the XRP Ledger is issued at address rfmS3zqrQrka8wVyhXifEeyTwe8AMz2Yhw with currency code SOIL (hex 534F494C00000000000000000000000000000000). This is a bridged representation issued via Axelar Bridge — you can verify it independently on an XRPL explorer such as bithomp.com or xrpscan.com before adding a trust line. Only trust addresses published on soil.co or confirmed by [email protected] — never an address sent to you in a DM, Telegram/Discord message, search ad, or unsolicited email. Scammers frequently create fake tokens with the same name/ticker and a similar-looking issuer address, so always copy addresses character-by-character from an official source. Soil support will never ask you to send funds to an address to "verify" or "unlock" your wallet.
Some Soil vaults have a maximum capacity. While a vault is open, your lent funds are allocated to that vault up to its cap; once a capped vault reaches its maximum capacity, it stops accepting new loans and you can join a waitlist or choose another available vault. Before lending, check the specific vault's remaining capacity, its Fixed APR, and its withdrawal terms (Notice period and Cooldown phase), since these can vary by vault type.
Withdrawal policies vary by vault type. If a vault requires a Notice period, it always begins on the first day of the following month to align with the underlying yield-generating assets, and your funds keep earning interest during this time. Once the Notice period ends, the Cooldown phase begins — during this phase your capital no longer accrues interest while it's being prepared for payout. If a vault does not require a Notice period, funds enter the Cooldown phase immediately after you request a withdrawal. Always check the specific terms of the vault you're in before withdrawing, since lock-up and payout timing differ between vaults.
Soil Vaults are lending pools, not staking: when you lend RLUSD or XRP to Soil Ltd. through a vault, you earn a Fixed APR (a guaranteed loan interest rate) rather than a variable staking reward, and Soil Ltd. may deploy the borrowed funds into instruments such as money market funds, T-bills, or private credit. To use Soil Vaults with native RLUSD or XRP you don't need to bridge those assets between chains first — just connect a supported XRPL wallet and lend directly.
Soil KYC verification is handled through our identity verification partner and typically fails for a few common reasons: a blurry or expired ID document, a selfie that doesn't clearly match your ID photo, or personal details that don't exactly match your ID. If verification fails, you can usually retry directly from the verification screen — make sure you're in good lighting, use a valid unexpired document, and double-check that the name/date of birth you enter matches your ID exactly. If you're a business (rather than an individual) account, make sure you select the correct account type before starting, since the required documents differ. If retries keep failing, contact support with the error message shown and we'll investigate.
Soil supports connecting via Xaman, Crossmark, MetaMask (XRPL Snap), WalletConnect, and D'CENT hardware wallets. If a wallet won't connect: make sure the browser extension (Crossmark, MetaMask) is installed and unlocked, or that the Xaman/D'CENT app is open and reachable from your device; refresh the page and try again; check that you're not blocking pop-ups, since some wallets open a connection prompt in a new window; and confirm your wallet is set to the correct network. If a specific wallet still won't connect, contact support and let us know which wallet and browser/device you're using.
SEED points are loyalty rewards earned through platform activities such as lending funds to Soil Ltd, referring other users, and participating in governance activities. They are not blockchain tokens — they can't be transferred or traded — but they can be redeemed for platform benefits like premium features, priority access to new vaults, fee discounts, and participation in exclusive community events and governance decisions.
When you submit a request through the Support form, you'll receive an automatic confirmation email right away, and a member of the Soil support team will follow up according to the priority of your case. Soil support only ever replies from [email protected], will never ask for your seed phrase or private keys, and will never ask you to send funds anywhere — if anyone else claims to be Soil support, it's a scammer.
